Hermitage Dental Group is always very helpful, whenever I am in need of assistance. I recently had a porcelain crown come off & it needed to be re-seated. They were kind enough to work me in quickly... and get it done, as soon as possible. Thanks so much HDG!

Why do you need treatment for Dental Emergencies?

In order to prevent emergencies from happening, it is important that you come in for routine preventative care. However, there may come a time when an emergency happens even if you brush and floss regularly as well as visit the office every six months. If you fail to treat an emergency, it could get worse over time. This is why we recommend that you have emergency treatment done as soon as you notice there’s a problem.

What Are Common Dental Emergencies?

We see many different types of emergencies on a regular basis. We even work with both pediatric and adult patients. Some of the different emergencies we handle each day include:

  • Pain and toothache
  • Swelling or bleeding gums
  • Broken or cracked teeth
  • Wisdom tooth pain
  • Sensitivity

What Can You Expect During Treatment?

We first seat you comfortably in one of our examination rooms. We will ask you about the problem and what is troubling you. We will take x-rays as needed to help in identifying the problem. We’ll then perform an examination and create a treatment plan that is right for you. Our goal is to get you leaving the office without the pain or discomfort that you came in with. If you have an active infection when coming into the office, we’ll prescribe an antibiotic that should be taken before treatment can be administered. The emergency appointment is quick, easy and done as comfortably as possible so that you can feel confident in your care.

If you’d like to come into our office for treatment of an emergency, call us today so that we can get you in to benefit from our low wait times and one-on-one care.
